14 Dec 7:15pm | All I Want for Christmas is Revue
The cast and crew of the critically acclaimed 2018 Melbourne University Law Revue (‘The Cake’) bring you an hour of fresh and exciting sketch comedy. The 41st instalment of Australia’s famous ‘cradle of comedy’ opened, closed (and even middled) to sell-out crowds, earning praise and commendation from some of the biggest names in Australian comedy.
Filtered only by their rigid, excessive, borderline-religious adherence to political correctness (damn leftie Uni students), this follow-up performance promises to be one of the highlights of the 2019 Melbourne International Comedy Festival. Featuring Acting students, Musical Theatre nuts, Law students and even Ancient Greek majors, there’s something in this show for everyone! Back bigger, better, funnier (and humbler) than ever, ‘All I Want for Christmas is Revue’** is one sequel you cannot afford to miss!
DISCLAIMER: All opinions are our own, not those of Mariah Carey, nor are our sketches Christmas themed (nor, for that matter, Mariah Carey themed).
**Cast members do in fact want more for Christmas than a Revue, and anyone planning to give them a present should cater accordingly.
“I saw the last one and I laughed a lot. The laughter happened as I was watching, not several hours later; so it was definitely because of the show that I was laughing. I suspect the funny jokes and performances were the cause.” – Shaun Micallef
“Youthful, hilarious, and yet to be crushed by the industry. If I wasn’t so jealous I’d recommend seeing them.” – Sammy J
“A well-oiled machine … So many perfectly formed bits come to mind that deserve review space. You really have to see the brilliant cast do their thing” – The Dialog
